Jesus--The Most Precious One

I love the Lord Jesus! He is the most wonderful one in the universe. Despite who I am and where I came from, my dear Lord rains compassion and mercy upon me day by day. Because He first loved me and saved me into Himself and into His Body, I cannot help but love Him back. There is a verse, Luke 7:47a, which is becoming more and more my experience. It says, “For this reason I say to you, her sins which are many are forgiven, because she loved much.” This verse refers to a woman who poured out upon the Lord Jesus her most precious possession--her alabaster flask of ointment--anointing the Lord's feet, kissing His feet affectionately, and wiping His feet with her loving tears and her hair. Oh, she counted her savior the most precious and worthy One. She poured all that she was and had upon Him because she first experienced the Lord's unspeakable love and mercy.

This experience of the Lord's love and mercy is becoming more real to me day by day. I would never have even come close to realizing this marvelous Christ had I not met some dear and genuine Christians who are in the local churches. These ones led me to see and experience and enjoy this marvelous Christ! These dear ones loved me to the uttermost. They shepherded me with faith and patience and with the Lord's grace and humility. I saw Christ in their life and living. What an expression of normal, ordinary people loving the Lord and living the Lord day by day. What impressed me the most was that there was no condemnation or judgment of me despite my condition, attitude, behavior, and appearance. There was only love. As I began meeting with these wonderful Christians, I began reading the Bible, and ministry books by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Gradually, my eyes were opened more and more to see who Christ is and what His heart's desire is, and to realize the purpose of my living that His life may fill my being. Revelation after revelation was coming forth in a very ordinary, yet exciting way. The meaning of my human life and the meaning of my Christian life has been opened up before my eyes and I am entering into a more joyful and purposeful life and living. And now I find myself drawn to the Lord in such a way that I want to give all that I am and all that I have to the Lord as Mary did and as Paul speaks of in 2 Corinthians. This ministry is causing me to love the Lord more, to be willing to enter into the fellowship of His sufferings so that Christ may be magnified and glorified through all His believers - the Body of Christ.
